Static proxies
A static proxy is an address that stays yours for the whole term. It does not rotate, so a site sees the same visitor from the same place every time.
When static is the right shape
- Account operations, where a changing address looks like a changing person.
- Repeated checks you want to compare day to day, such as rank tracking.
- Allowlisting: a fixed address can be added to a partner or internal allowlist.
Two static lines
ISP proxies are static addresses registered to a consumer internet provider, so sites that check ownership tend to treat them like home users. Datacenter proxies are static addresses in data centres: the lowest price per IP, for targets that do not check who owns the address.
How static proxies are billed
By the IP, per month, for a term. The ladder shows the price per IP at every order size and the terms table shows the discount for longer terms. Residential is the exception: it rotates and is billed by the GB.
What static does not do
A static address does not change on its own. If you need a new one on every request, use residential. Plan for that by ordering enough addresses to spread the load.
Term discounts on ISP
| Term | Discount on the monthly rate |
|---|---|
| 30 days | - |
| 90 days | 15% |
| 1 year | 25% |

Questions
What is the difference between a static and a rotating proxy?
A static proxy keeps one address for the term. A rotating proxy changes address between requests or on a schedule.
Is an ISP proxy the same as a static residential proxy?
The two names describe the same idea: a static address registered to a consumer internet provider.
Can I choose the location of a static proxy?
Yes, on ISP and datacenter you choose country, region and city when you order. On ISP you can also choose the carrier.
