HTTP and HTTPS proxy
A proxy that speaks the HTTP proxy protocol; for HTTPS sites it opens a tunnel with the CONNECT method.
An HTTP proxy receives a request, or a CONNECT instruction for encrypted sites, and forwards it. With CONNECT the proxy relays encrypted bytes and does not read the content.
Almost every scraping library and browser can use one.
