Username and password authentication
Authenticating to a proxy with credentials sent with each connection.
The client includes a username and password, and the proxy checks them. It works from any network, so it suits laptops, containers and servers whose address changes.
Treat the credentials like any secret: keep them out of source control and rotate them if they leak.
