Integration guide
Use a proxy with Selenium
Chrome takes the proxy as a command-line flag, which Selenium passes through its options.
Get your details
Copy the host, port, username and password for your proxy from the dashboard. Where this page writes <host>, <port>, <username> or <password>, paste your own values.
Start Chrome with the flag
Chrome ignores credentials inside --proxy-server. Authenticated proxies are easiest to use with an IP allowlist, which needs no credentials in the browser.
from selenium import webdriver
options = webdriver.ChromeOptions()
options.add_argument("--proxy-server=http://<host>:<port>")
driver = webdriver.Chrome(options=options)
driver.get("https://api.ipify.org")
print(driver.find_element("tag name", "body").text)
driver.quit()Using username and password
If you must authenticate with credentials, use a library such as selenium-wire, or drive the browser with Playwright instead, which has native credential fields.
