CIDR
A notation for a block of IP addresses, written as an address and a prefix length such as 203.0.113.0/24.
The number after the slash is how many leading bits are fixed. A smaller number means a bigger block. A /24 holds 256 addresses and a /16 holds 65,536.
CIDR blocks matter when you buy many addresses: addresses from the same block share a neighbourhood, and a site may treat a block as one unit.
